This year's photo re-creates the iconic Beatles "jumping photo," which was shot at a golf course in Liverpool in 1963, a year before Beatlemania hit America.
For our re-creation, photographer David Beyda shot individual photos of us, which I later Photoshopped into a single composite (changing to B&W, adding noise, dust & scratches, and pixellation, then reducing the contrast).
The photo studio was directly above a beauty salon on West 32nd Street. We apologized to them afterwards for jumping up and down on the floor for twenty minutes non-stop. Not sure if we rained down any ceiling asbestos onto them. If so...sorry. That's the price of art.
